The Skeletons are real and suspended 0.5 - 1.5 inches away from the painting. They can be removed. Each acrylic painting is unique and coated with clear epoxy to give it a deep and glossy finish. The paintings are atop 14 gauge stainless steel and wall hanging mounts are installed.

There are over 40 different varieties of seahorse throughout the world where they form territories in tropical waters. They do not have scales like other fish, but instead have a thin skin over a bony skeleton. The dwarf seahorse are incredibly slow and only reach speeds up to 5 feet per hour.
